Free walking tours Aug. 15 and Sept. 25

Two more chances for Seattle locals and curious visitors to discover more about our modern maritime community.

Free walking tours Aug. 15 and Sept. 25
Exploring the South Lake Union waterfront with a tour-iffic group in June!

It's been a fun experience launching Future Tides' free walking tours this summer!

There are two more chances to join me this season:

  • Thursday, August 15 at 6 p.m. (this week!)
  • New date: Wednesday, September 25 at 5:30 p.m.

To attend, sign up at futuretides.org/tours.

Created for locals and curious visitors, these walking tours unveil Seattle's modern maritime community. A microcosm of the region, our walk around South Lake Union reveals new developments, how recreational and commercial activities co-exist, and major players on the waterfront.

I've learned A LOT. By researching the tour itinerary, I've expanded my knowledge about the past and present of maritime activity around Lake Union. But I've learned even more from the questions guests ask, and I've got a growing list to aid future research.

Figuring out the logistics has been a journey too! Where to meet, which way to walk, how to manage our time. I'm excited to bring what I've learned to the next two tours which will wrap up this inaugural season.

If you haven't had a chance yet, I hope you'll join me to learn something new, ask questions, and connect with other maritime-minded folks.

And if you've already attended a tour, THANK YOU for coming out and being curious! Please let your equally curious friends, family or colleagues know about Future Tides' free walking tours.
